Today’s special participatory blog post is going to be an expression of love for Jesus Christ. On today’s blog post, we simply get to be like teenagers in love:) I’d like to encourage everyone who reads this blog to participate.
I am aware that many who read this blog do not always agree with the articles and discussions posted here. If that applies to you, I would also like to encourage you to participate as today’s post will entirely be an expression of love. With all the angst that can often occur among Christians on the internet, in my opinion, this expression of love for Him cannot happen too much.
We’ve all heard those late night ‘love-song’ call-in shows on the radio in which lovesick people call in to dedicate a special song to the one they love hoping that the one they love is also listening to the radio. These ‘love song’ call in shows exist because there are times in which words are simply insufficient to express affection for another. When words fail to express the heart, a song seems to do a much better job.
Today’s blog post is going to be like one of those sappy teenage late night love-song call-in shows dedicated to expressing our love and affection for Jesus Christ. Here are the rules for participation:
1. Dedicate a song to Christ in the comment section of this blog.
(include name and artist of song)
2. Describe to Christ personally exactly why you are dedicating this song to Him.
(Speak directly to Him, not simply about Him. This will be especially difficult for those who are used to using only their craniums to relate to Him.)
3. Include a link to the song.
(if you cannot find a link to the song, include the lyrics.)
4. Have no fear of being too cheesy or sappy.
(Since this is your expression of love, do not fear what others might think of the song, or artist of the song, which you are dedicating. When you see the song I am going to dedicate, you will know why this rule is here:)
Thanks for participating!
