I have discovered that true beauty is indeed rare, and is easily overlooked. I have also discovered that the bride of Jesus Christ is truly beautiful! Contrary to popular opinion, the beauty of the bride of Christ cannot be seen on each street corner littered throughout small towns in the bible belt, nor can this beauty be seen in the grand cathedrals of our famous cities. The beauty of this bride is much more hidden.
On this blog, I have written much about the New Testament church. Some call this ‘organic’ church. Regardless of what label you apply to this beautiful woman, I can tell you that she is a rare miracle that many regard as something common due to the human tendency to classify and catagorize. The Lord has given me the extravagant privilege of being a part of a rare New Testament church.
It is rare because no human being can simply decide to ‘start’ a true New Testament church. Any attempt to do so will only result in utter failure, or something far less than a community of people built around the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The Lord must be the one that starts and builds this house. It is completely supernatural.
A few of the folks that are a part of the church body here have moved from several states away. One sister in the church actually moved from clear across the country to be a part of this. I can tell you that people don’t move across the country to simply be a part of a ’bible study’, or a meeting. There is something much more going on at a foundational level. This foundation is rare. This foundation is Jesus Christ.
Sometimes words fail to communicate true beauty. Pictures can, at times, communicate when words fail. I wanted to share with you a picture that, in my opinion, speaks a thousand words. The beauty of Jesus Christ can be seen in this picture of the church here. This picture was taken at the end of a day that the church had spent together. We were sharing a meal together. While we were sharing this meal, we were also eating another meal altogether. Can you see?
For the beauitful bride,
Jamal Jivanjee

Jamal,
Absolutely love it! St. Cyprian has said, “You cannot have God for your Father unless you have the church for your Mother.” The bride of Christ is beautiful.
