Over the last few months, there have been quite a few new readers added to the illuminate blog roll. By blogging standards, this blog is still relatively young in the developmental process, however. The illuminate blog began in January of 2011. Since that time, there have been eighty-six articles published to this blog.
I am thankful that the blogging venue exists for folks outside of the religious system to share sightings of Jesus Christ for the purpose of the building up of Christ’s body. I believe this venue is also very important for other saints who are still involved in the religious system, yet desire freedom. A lot of those folks simply don’t have access to writings from others who may be outside of their circles of thought. Blogging is a great way to ‘break into’ those circles:)
Although there are only eighty-six articles published on this blog, many newer readers have not yet heard of these articles because older articles can have a tendency to get buried by newer posts.
As a result of the fact that we have several new subscribers to this blog, and the fact that there are many posts that have been ‘buried’, I thought a one day interactive trivia / survey post could be a fun way to uncover some of the older articles while also getting to know one another a bit better. So without further delay, let me introduce the rules of the trivia / survey to you:
1. Do some ‘excavating’ of this site to become familiar with the articles posted here.
2. Make a list of what you think are the top five most read articles on this site from January 2011 to today. Obviously, #1 would be the most read article, etc…
3. List the city (or nearest city) where you live, tell us about your favorite genre of food, and list two restaurants that you like to frequent when on a date with your spouse, significant other, or friends.
4. Post your answers as a comment in the comment section of this blog post.
This is a one day only survey. The winner of this survey will receive a ‘nifty’ gift from me. In order to win, you MUST get the top five posts correct in proper order. Getting close is ‘no cigar’, so to speak:) Your guess at #1 must actually be the top read article, your guess at #2 must actually be the second most read article, etc…
I will announce the top five posts tomorrow on the blog. Hopefully there will be a winner to announce as well:)
Have fun!

My husband and I live 30 minutes south of Seattle, WA. We love Mexican food. Ranchito is a restaurant just up the road from us that has amazing mondo margaritas and really great food. But my favorite place is called Taqueria El Rinconsito. It started out as a little hole in the wall place (which is when I best liked going there) and the food is AWESOME! Carnitas y horchata! Yum!
Side note: for the record, my most favorite posts have been:
1. An Expression Of Love- A Participatory Blog
2. The $15 Billion Secret Of The Honey Bee & The Disappearance Of Evangelicals
Thank you so much for this blog, Jamal!

This one is tougher than the top 5. Not alot of good restaurants in or even around my town as far as food and atmostphere and uniqueness go. Jackson, ms (bout 35 miles away) has some but i rarely get to eat @ them with friends. There is a little dive downstairs from The Way Cafe (a youth ministry I help out at) that we often get food (chicken plates) from and eat togeather. Its owned by a guy named J.R. I honestly can’t even think of the name of it. I reckon that would have to be my choice other than the chinese place we sometimes buy from down the road. Hope this part isn’t the tie breaker!
