A Grief Observed…

Today’s post was scheduled to be a blog interview.  As with many things in life, however, things are subject to change.  For me personally, I have observed that I have entered a season of grief.  As a result, I have decided to postpone today’s scheduled blog interview for a more appropriate time.  This week, I will post three posts to this blog, each dealing with the nature of grief.

On this journey of living by Christ’s divine life in myself & the beautiful community of saints that I am being built with, I am learning about the nature & importance of grieving.  Two of this week’s blog posts will have to do with two specific situations that occurred recently that have caused me to grieve deeply.  The third post that I will post this week will have to do with the overall nature of grief.  I will explore the differences that I am observing between human grief and divine grief, and what I am learning to do with this grief.  I hope it will be helpful to the body of Christ.

The first post will come tomorrow (Tuesday).  If you have not yet subscribed to the blog by email, let me encourage you to do so.

Faithfully yours,

Jamal Jivanjee

UPDATE- Post I: A Poisoned View At Notre Dame Cathedral – (a grief observed)

P.S. If you have not yet read last week’s blog post titled: Why I Love Barack Hussein Obama (an open letter to the saints in America) , let me encourage you to take a few minutes to read it carefully.

  1. Jamal,

I am greatly looking forward to your next three posts on grief. There is an important and dire need on this issue for today. I have been considering this very issue also. Again, I am very much anticipating your posts! Thank you, my brother.

  2. Dear Jamal,

Your blog truly is a source of refreshment! I too am looking forward to the new postings. I so enjoy reading your posts as you share God’s heart with the saints!

I read this bible passage many times before, but when I read these words recently, I thought about you. (Smile) I really grasped that joy and refreshment that being referred to!

(Philemon 1:4-7) I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints; and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ’s sake. For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

    Alissa

  3. Intriguing. Christ is in this too.
