Why The Earth Stopped Spinning Last Thursday…

I had several posts that I had planned to share with you this week, but a recent event has changed this.  Last Thursday, I sat down at a coffee shop with a brother in Christ whom I had not seen in a while.  As we were catching up, he began to share how the Lord was revealing Himself to him.  He also began to share how this revelation of the Lord has affected some decisions he is going to be making this year.

It was no ordinary conversation.

As my friend was talking to me, the world stopped spinning on its axis.  All the other conversations in the coffee shop around us suddenly vanished, and I was transported to another realm.  All that remained were the words coming out of my friend’s mouth.  In that moment,  I knew that what I was hearing was changing my life. I literally felt the chains fall off.

Ok, I might be exaggerating a bit about the earth coming to a stand still, but that is what it seemed like to me.  The scriptures tell us that “Perfect love casts out all fear”.  What my friend shared with me that day are some of the most tangible examples that I have ever heard, in regards to how radically liberating perfect love actually is.

As he shared this with me that day, you came to mind.  Yes, you.  I knew then that I could not keep this treasure from you.  As a result, I have suspended my regular blog schedule this week.  I asked my friend if he would be willing to come on the blog to be interviewed about what he shared with me.  He graciously accepted.  On Thursday of this week, I will post this life altering interview to the blog.  I do hope you will tune in.
