Changes Are Coming To My Marriage & This Blog…

My wife’s wedding ring recently broke.  It was no accident, but a sign of something much deeper and profound that is occurring in our marriage.  A glorious awakening of sorts.  I am excited to tell you about it soon.  As a matter of fact, I plan to post this blog about our marriage this Friday.

I’m telling you now for a reason. You need to be prepared.  On Friday, when you read the post, there will probably be a part of you that will be disturbed.  You might even become angry.  A part of you will likely stand opposed to what I will share.  Nevertheless, there will also be a part of you that will rejoice.  A part of you will fall deeper in love.  A part of you will hear the heart of your Lord loud and clear.  My heart is that the Lord’s heart in this upcoming post will speak louder and deeper than your initial opposition.  If you feel so inclined, please pray that the proper words would come to me as I write, and that the Lord’s purposes in this Friday’s post would further His eternal purpose.

Also, I almost forgot to tell you that some subtle but major changes are coming to this blog.  You will notice the changes in a couple of days.  If you have not yet subscribed to the blog by email, let me encourage you to do so.  I don’t want you to miss this post.

I love you,

Jamal Jivanjee

  1. Praying bro. Seems pretty radical from your prep talk…

Excited, yet a bit nervous :)

  2. Fire away my brother, lookin forward to Friday.

  3. And it is more what we all have fully experienced. And yet the ekklesia has almost touched upon the nearness of our knowing, our experiencing this inclusiveness, this uninhibited Life. And but yet we shy away from the maturity of living in this wall-less love. I’m looking forward to your post, my brother.

    • Amen sister!

      • Kaley,
I am grateful to Father that we got to meet and have some great interaction. I so very much long to see you again; I almost cannot wait to see you face-to-face again! You are a precious treasure in my heart, dear sister Kaley.

    • Amen Kat, looking forward to hearing your thoughts:)

      • I was planning on writing a post on this very actuality, but I have been busy writing a couple other blog posts at once, it is just the way it is working out, so I haven’t written it yet. I await your writing with anticipated breath, as I know it will be an expression of Heart!

  4. Jamal, Friday is our wedding anniversary. I will look forward to reading and I know it will be a blessing.

  5. I told Rob that if we get married, I *do not* want a wedding (nor an engagement) ring. I hate rings. Furthermore, I hate the idea of having the most important union in my life symbolized by a peice of jewelry that I have to be afraid of losing. I generally lose almost every peice of jewelry I’ve ever owned in about a week’s time. So no, no ring for me.
Plus, many different groups of believers in our area (such as Amish, Quakers, etc) don’t believe in rings either. It can be done.

    • Heather,

Thanks for your comment. Friday’s (tomorrow’s) post will not have to do with wedding rings, however. I look forward to hearing from you tomorrow after you read the article.

  6. i’m often taken back by your posts initially, but later on they hit me like a ton of bricks in a more positive way. Hoping this will be the case this time as well. Looking forward to it brother.

  7. Awaiting and praying :)

    • Coming from you sister, this speaks volumes to me. I look forward to hearing your heart regarding tomorrow’s post. Thx for the prayers.

  8. The master of the tease strikes again.

  9. Brother, been and am looking forward to this post!! Praying the Lord speaks boldly through you. A timely message in many ways I think.
