Journalism- A New Project For A New Season…

July 18, 2013

film-reelAs you may know, I recently returned from a trip to Europe.  In my first blog post after returning from this trip, I indicated that I would be entering a new season.  In this new season, I will also be working on a new project.  Without getting into a lot of the details just yet, let me simply say that this new project will involve a set, cameras, and the unveiling of an unbelievable story.  I am happy to report to you that things have begun to move forward with this project.

In this new season, I will be functioning as a journalist.  There is a tremendous story to be uncovered and told, and I am excited to bring the story to you in the months ahead.  While this project has been on my heart for quite a while now, this project began to take on new sense of life and urgency during my time in Europe.

As you may know, I am a student of the French language.  As a result, I enjoy watching French films, and listening to French music.  Film & music also happen to be a major venue through which I hear the Lord speak to my spirit.  One particular morning during my trip, I was listening to a French song that almost floored me.  The Lord began to powerfully speak to my heart through this song.  I was in tears.

This French song powerfully confirmed to me everything that was in my heart for this new journalistic project.  I simply couldn’t believe what I was hearing.  The story in the song (performed by French rapper MC Solaar) is about a journalist who was sent on a special mission to uncover a very valuable story.

This French rap song illustrates the story of a journalist who was sent by his news organization to discover and explore the lost garden of Eden.  This journalist found a beautiful paradise in which there was no war, and no hate.  In this place, men and women were no longer divided and striving against one another.  In this place, the creation was reconciled.  Mankind and animals functioned together peacefully.  ‘Love’ was the law of this garden paradise.  This reporter then reported back to the world what he found.

When I heard this song, I knew it was more than a song to me.  It was confirmation.  In this new season, I will also be a journalist on a mission to discover and explore a lost garden.  This discovery has already begun.  According to Jesus, the garden of Eden was about Him.  It was an image of Him & His life.  Thankfully, this rare & lost ‘garden’ is on the earth again today.  I know.  I have seen it, and I can’t wait to tell the story.

While telling this story will involve time & money, I believe the effort will be well worth it.  It would be a crime not to tell this story to the very few who have been given ears to hear it.  It is for these few that the story must be told.  If you would like to know more about how you can help with this project, please send an email to me at this address:

Now that you know the essence of what this song is about, take a few minutes to listen to it.  I know it’s in French, but don’t worry about that.  (French is a beautiful language, and I’m sure you’ll be able to discover some new words.)  The song is titled ‘Jardin d’eden’ (Garden of Eden).  As you know, it’s more than a song:)

  1. Beautiful song, and images. I recognized the words romance, I think, and roses. That’s good enough for me 🙂

I’ve been praying for you almost daily, Jamal. Send me some information on what you are doing, if you would, so I can continue to do so.

    In His Embrace

You should be looking forward to this project because you will play a vital role in all of this. I have had you on my mind specifically regarding this project. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you soon:)

  3. Jamal, the only french i understand is the limited conversations by Pepe Le Pew 🙂 But i did love the frame with the tree roots desperately wrapping around the rock above the soil-line! So excited for your upcoming projects. When you live your dream, you can be sure it is from the mind of Christ! See you next month!
