Ep. 164: Post Betrayal Syndrome: An Interview with Dr. Debi Silber

When we hear the word 'betrayal', we might simply think of infidelity or an affair. While that is most certainly a form of betrayal, that is only one form of betrayal. Betrayal can be experienced in many different ways by a variety of different people.

When a parent, a friend, a business partner, a spouse, etc... doesn't show up for us in a way that we needed, or when we experience a sense of abandonment from a trusted source, that too is betrayal. Almost all of us have experienced betrayal at some level.

Contrary to popular belief, betrayal isn't something from which you can simply 'forgive' and move forward on an intellectual basis. Unless we address the roots of betrayal, we stay stuck in patterns of insecurity, fear, anger, sadness, a lack of trust, physical disease and illness, and much much more.

In order to heal from betrayal, our sense of 'Self' has to be completely reconstructed. In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal, I sit down with Dr. Debi Silber to talk more about this all important subject.

This episode of The Love Cast with Jamal is a historic episode as I sit down with former CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) Analyst Brent Giannotta.

This is the first time I had the opportunity to interview a former CIA analyst on the The Love Cast with Jamal podcast. What Brent learned in the CIA has implications for all of us.

In this episode, we discuss why the roots of 'terror' actually reside in the uncomfortable fact that we all have been programmed to see the world through the primative lens of 'good' vs 'evil'.

As a result, the roots of terror lay much closer to home, possibly even within ourselves. Give this episode a careful listen HERE.

Episode 157: The Futility of Goals & Accomplishments

The Love Cast With Jamal podcast

Dear friends,

Like many of us, I was routinely taught that it's important to set goals in life to make sure we keep moving forward. I was told that people without goals tend to become lazy or waste their lives. "If we don't have goals, how will we 'get ahead' in life?" This was a question I heard regularly. I have come to discover that isn't true, however.

As a matter of fact, did you know that the need for goal setting and constantly accomplishing tasks in life may be an indicator that something fundamental within your life's energies is out of balance?

I have discovered a much better way to 'get ahead' in life, and goals aren't necessary. This is the subject of this episode of The Love Cast With Jamal podcast.
