Ep. 164: Post Betrayal Syndrome: An Interview with Dr. Debi Silber

When we hear the word 'betrayal', we might simply think of infidelity or an affair. While that is most certainly a form of betrayal, that is only one form of betrayal. Betrayal can be experienced in many different ways by a variety of different people.

When a parent, a friend, a business partner, a spouse, etc... doesn't show up for us in a way that we needed, or when we experience a sense of abandonment from a trusted source, that too is betrayal. Almost all of us have experienced betrayal at some level.

Contrary to popular belief, betrayal isn't something from which you can simply 'forgive' and move forward on an intellectual basis. Unless we address the roots of betrayal, we stay stuck in patterns of insecurity, fear, anger, sadness, a lack of trust, physical disease and illness, and much much more.

In order to heal from betrayal, our sense of 'Self' has to be completely reconstructed. In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal, I sit down with Dr. Debi Silber to talk more about this all important subject.

Dr. Debi Silber is the founder of the Post Betrayal Transformation Institute and is a holistic psychologist, a health, mindset and personal development expert, and the author of the #1 bestselling book: The Unshakable Woman: 4 Steps to Rebuilding Your Body, Mind and Life After a Life Crisis

Dr. Debi Silber has appeared on FOX, CBS, The Dr. Oz Show, TEDx (twice) and more, she’s an award winning speaker, coach and author dedicated to helping people move past their betrayals. Give this episode a careful listen.

Ep. 163: This Is It: An Interview with Former NFL & College Football Coach Evan Burk

Evan Burk went from coaching fourth grade football to coaching college football at the highest levels, and also coaching with the Miami Dolphins in the NFL in his coaching career.

What's amazing is the fact that he did all of this in only six years.

More incredibly, Evan did not play collegiate sports, nor did he have any coaching pedigree or experience.

So, how did he climb the coaching ranks to the highest level (the NFL) in only six years?

That's what this latest episode of The Love Cast with Jamal is all about. No matter if you are a sports fan or not, Evan's story will have direct implications for you and your place in life right now.

Evan's story isn't about football, it's about life. Listen and receive abundantly from this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal.

Ep. 162: Confronting The Terrorist Within: An Interview with Former CIA Analyst Brent Giannotta

This episode of The Love Cast with Jamal is a historic episode as I sit down with former CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) Analyst Brent Giannotta.

This is the first time I had the opportunity to interview a former CIA analyst on the The Love Cast with Jamal podcast. What Brent learned in the CIA has implications for all of us.

In this episode, we discuss why the roots of 'terror' actually reside in the uncomfortable fact that we all have been programmed to see the world through the primative lens of 'good' vs 'evil'.

As a result, the roots of terror lay much closer to home, possibly even within ourselves. Give this episode a careful listen HERE.

Episode 157: The Futility of Goals & Accomplishments

The Love Cast With Jamal podcast

Dear friends,

Like many of us, I was routinely taught that it's important to set goals in life to make sure we keep moving forward. I was told that people without goals tend to become lazy or waste their lives. "If we don't have goals, how will we 'get ahead' in life?" This was a question I heard regularly. I have come to discover that isn't true, however.

As a matter of fact, did you know that the need for goal setting and constantly accomplishing tasks in life may be an indicator that something fundamental within your life's energies is out of balance?

I have discovered a much better way to 'get ahead' in life, and goals aren't necessary. This is the subject of this episode of The Love Cast With Jamal podcast.

In this episode of The Love Cast, I address a common misconception that many have made about the message of my book 'Living For A Living'. In this episode, I talk about why our passion and purpose in life may not always be the main stream of monetary income for us.

So, why are we suffering more than ever before?

Why is there so much drama, fear, division, and noise online and in our own lives?

Why do we need to medicate just to make it through the day?

Why is there so much sickness, substance abuse, addiction, and suicide destroying the lives of so many?

Because of a lack of devotion. In this episode of The Love Cast, we will introduce the concept of 'devotion' and we will talk about water. Yes, water. Water is vitally important if we are going to live a life of devotion free of suffering.
